Q: What happens if I miss a day?! Life gets busy!

Life gets busy. I get it. If you miss a day, don’t sweat it! Just jump on in to the current day and take it from there! You don’t have to worry about “falling behind because you’ll always have access to your portal. Jump back where you left off, or join the party on the current day.

Q. When does the program start?

You can start the Thrive Life Project at any time! Simply join it HERE, and you'll have instant access to the program! If you choose the "One-on-One Coaching" option, we will be in touch within the next 24 hours to get you up and running!

Q. What's the difference in the One-on-One Coaching Program vs. Working with Dr. Lauryn?

One-on-One Coaching as part of the Thrive Life Project is ideal for the individual who just needs a little support and accountability in her nutrition, fitness and/or lifestyle goals. It includes 2 x 30-Minute Phone/Video Check-Ins each month (or 1 x 60 minute check-in), plus ongoing e-mail, nutrition and fitness programming. You may work with Dr. Lauryn or another Functional Medicine & Nutrition Coach.

Dr. Lauryn's private practice takes your program and support to the next level. Sessions are typically longer and more directed at  helping you work through a targeted stressor or issue in your life. She offers a 30-day Kickstart to start off your healing program strong, as well as a 3-month Transformation program with specific tracks including:

Q. What is the TLP Nutrition Philosophy?

The Thrive Life Project’s nutrition philosophy is not about one type of diet. Instead it’s all about balance and eating real food most of the time. (If it didn't grow on the land, swim in the sea or roam the earth, it's not real food). This includes plenty of healthy fats, colorful carbs (lots of veggies and some fruits), and enough protein. You will get a Food List with hundreds of foods to choose from, plus Weekly Meal Ideas, Recipes & Grocery Lists to keep things tasty and interesting! And, above all, I am going to challenge you to keep an "80/20 balance" mindset (i.e. NO PERFECTION WITH FOOD!).

Q. Is this a calorie or macro counting program?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! No need. Let the conscious calorie and macro-counter in you be at peace. From this day forth, no need to count or weigh or measure you food. Just eat (real) food. You're going to learn a TON about intuitive eating and listening to your body (a language you were born knowing)!

Q. I follow a vegetarian/vegan diet. Can I do TLP?

Yes. Thrive Life’s nutrition philosophy is not about one type of diet. Instead it’s all about balance.

Are you eating balanced—Meaning healthy fats, colorful carbs (lots of veggies and some fruits), and enough protein?

Many vegetarian and vegan diets lack the absorbable and usable proteins and vitamins that animal protein provides. 

If you choose to follow a vegetarian/vegan-based diet, it’s encouraged you still eat a protein source with each meal PLUS getting in any supplementing any nutrients you may be deficient in, including: Vitamin B12, Zinc, Iron and Omega-3 Fatty Acids (fish or cod liver oil).  Some common Vegetarian & Vegan protein sources include:

◦ Tempeh
◦ Fermented Tofu
◦ Soaked & Dried Lentils

Q. Will this help me lose weight?


If your body needs to lose weight, by learning how to listen to your body’s innate cues and eating foods it was meant to thrive upon, you may very well lean out and shed some unnecessary “weight” or inflammation in your body. As you go along, a more personalized approach to leaning out may be necessary to help you re-set your hormones and work with your personal cortisol levels that may be preventing you from losing weight if needed. Ultimately, the Thrive Life Project will help boost your body on its path to being where it wants to be (thriving).

Q. Can I do this if I want to gain weight?

Same thing as the weight loss point above, if you need to gain weight, and your body has been undernourished, by beginning a non-restrictive, thriving meal protocol, you very well may experience some healthy weight gain desired or necessary. However, in order to experience continued success with goals around weight gain (like weight loss), a more targeted individualized approach to weight gain is advised. Consider upgrading for a custom nutrition & lifestyle plan session with Dr. Lauryn.

Q. Will I have access to the program when it ends?

You will have an additional 30-day access window to your Thrive Life Project program when it ends.

Q. What kind of support do you offer to heal my gut?

I am giving you the same 30-day gut-loving, digestive healing protocol I give most of my individual patients who are getting started with an initial gut-loving reset. It includes a mix of a real-food, anti-inflammatory diet, plus daily lifestyle practices, my top recommended probiotics and gut-loving supplements, and support for not falling victim to the diet mentality! Anti-bloating and anti-constipation is in your future!

Q. Are supplements necessary?

Nope! All supplements and recommendations are 100% optional. You will get TONS of resources and insights for enhancing your nutrition, fitness, mindset and overall health, and it's encouraged you take what works for you and your body right now!

Q. I already have a fitness plan or exercise I enjoy. Is that ok?

Of course! TLP is supportive of helping you find what "moves you!" What you enjoy to do. The only encouragement is that you do things that you LOVE and that build your body up (instead of break it down).

Q. What equipment will I need for workouts?

You have 2 options for workouts: Gym or Home every day in your Workout Feed! If you choose to workout at home, it's recommended you get:

  • 1 Pair of "Heavy-ish" Dumbbells (10-25 lbs.) and 1 Pair of "Light-ish" Dumbbells (5-10 lbs.)
  • Optional Yoga Mat

If you don't have dumbbells, you can also use a "heavyish" object-like soup cans at home!

Q. I am going on vacation or travel a lot! Can I still do TLP?

Yes mam! This program is do-able ANYWHERE and you don’t have to live in a bubble. And just because you travel, it doesn’t mean you have to throw a “healthy lifestyle” out the window either. I will teach you how to incorporate balance as much as possible with food and workouts (but don’t stress about being perfection). And of course, when in Rome, try some pizza gosh darn it! I also include a Travel Snack & Meal List for you.

Q. How much time is required to do this program?

Approximately 5-10 minutes/day outside your "normal routine" to watch your Daily Mission Videos & Bodywise Tips, and complete your Thrive Projects! Otherwise, TLP is meant to work with you and your busy life, so the daily lifestyle "requirements" should be natural things that fit right in, like:

  • A morning "beauty" routine to get you energized
  • Eating at least 3 real-food meals per day
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Moving your body 3-5 days per week (30-45-minute workouts)
  • Taking time outs for self care throughout the week
  • And meal prepping/grocery shopping if you're game to eat real food!
