You know those days when you have a good workout?

You didn’t just show up to the gym, or go through the motions.

But you came to life.

Extra wind beneath your wings to do rebounding box jumps…wallballs…5 more pounds on your back squat, or…gasp, burpees! There’s nothing like a good sweat to get your body glowing and endorphins pumping!

But then all that glow leaves you more than, well…glowing. And you’re knees are dirty from all those burpees or pushups on the mat. And your hair looks windblown. And you have a little sweat on the brow.

So what’s a girl to do?

Never fear. You came to the right place.

I have MASTERED the art of “looking like a million bucks post-gym” (or at least dolling back up and not looking like you worked out).

Here are 5 Thrive Tips to hack your post-workout sweat (without taking a shower) and look like a million bucks (post-gym):

A Little Dab of H20.

Makeup smeared or sweat beads smudged? Instead of wiping your face clean, dab a little water on your fingers or a tissue and smooth out your makeup. You can reapply a little powder or bronzer if you prefer, but the smoothing trick works wonders.

Blow Dryer.

No need to get your hair wet. Turn a blow dryer on cool or medium heat and simply brush it out like it’s blowing in the wind. You can run a straightener or curling iron through it too if preferred.

Dry Shampoo.

Life. Saver. Take any grease or slickness out with some dry shampoo dabbed on top of your mane.

Rock the Pony.

If all else fails, brush out your hair and rock a pony. Turn your head upside down, fluff it up with a brush, and pull it up and back. If your hair is short, consider adding a cute headband or bobby pinning it back post-workout to keep things lookin’ fresh.

Find Your Pop.

What’s that one makeup or beauty item you “can’t live without”? Chances are, you rock that! Be it mascara, lip gloss, bronzer, blush, or shimmer eye shadow. Play up what you love to wear, and freshen up with a little dab extra once your skin is freshened to glow.

Change of Clothes.

Keep a fresh—everything—in your car or bag (undies, socks, workout clothes, street clothes, and biz clothes). I keep one outfit for each avenue in my car that I know are EASY to dress up or throw on and make me feel comfortable and confident in rocking that outfit (not those outfits that you have to put a lot of effort into putting together).

Essential Oil Up.

Instead of strong perfumes or body sprays, go all natural , reach for a bottle of essential oil that gives you some subtle hints of girly good smells—without being overbearing or labeled a “skunk.” I love hints of orange, vanilla or grapefruit.

Boom. Work it girl
