Gut healing diets, like GAPS, Low FODMAP and AIP (autoimmune paleo) can be helpful interventions for overcoming chronic health conditions, gut problems and autoimmune disease. However, any of these diets, long-term, may have detrimental effects, not only on the gut microbiome, but our mental and emotional health as well. Fellow food freedom warrior and Clinical Nutritionist Jessica Flanigan shares the new approach she’s taking with helping clients overcome autoimmune disease and make peace with food and their body.

Jessica is a Clinical Nutritionist, Co-Founder of The Institute of Spiritual Coaching and is author of the first mind-body book, The Loving Diet. She has spent the last six years of her practice focusing on work with clients and Autoimmune Paleo, but has since moved on to more advanced functional medicine-based gut restoration applications to remove restriction from her client’s protocols and work with clients struggling with disordered eating in her program Transformational Eating.
